About the event
Starting the iceberg challenge in style. A great spot for a dip. Very different from our normal swims. There will be a current and if the rain continues, maybe a strong one. Your hub manager will give safety advice prior to the dip. There is also a 20-30minute walk across some difficult terrain. It will be boggy, wet and very rocky in places. Sturdy footwear and a good sense of balance are essential. Apropriate clothing are a must and include waterproofs and extra warm layers. Boots or water footwear are also helpful as it can be rocky in places getting in. I would also recommend bringing a hot drink for afterwards.
Whilst you can of course attend as a non-swimmer. You will be limited in where you can get in. It is also worth noting that the water will be considerably colder than our normal sea swims. But that's the point right.
Come along and challenge yourself to your coldest dip yet!!
Meeting at the car park for 0915 and start walking at 0930. The car park only accepts cash so bring some along for parking. From memory I believe it's £2. Any issues please let us know in advance as there is very poor phone signal here.
