Iceberg Challenge Celebration Dip

Celebrate the end of Healthscapes 2023-2024 Iceberg Challenge at Teignmouth on 28th April. Iceberg Challengers have dipped throughout winter and have achieved some fun badges as well as some wonderful personal goals.

We'd love you to join us for the presentation of badges and certificates at 10am followed by a celebration dip and of course cake. You may even hear the Teignmouth Mermaids singing in the waves

Meet at the "witches hat" icecream kiosk to the left of the pier.  If conditions are too rough we will meet at the ferry point on the back beach.

If you're new to sea dipping this is a perfect chance to join a small and friendly group to learn more about sea dipping safely.  Our dips are all supported by volunteers and run by experienced hub leaders who are first aid and tube rescue trained. 

The water is cold! We recommend you wear gloves and shoes (although not compulsory). If a wetsuit would make you feel more comfortable please wear one.

We stay in the water no longer than 10 minutes, but you only need 1 minutes of cold water to get the benefits.

Please bring warm and easy to put on clothes for afterwards.  

The dips may be cancelled at short notice if the water conditions are dangerous or there is a weather alert, or sewage alert.  We will try to contact you with plenty of notice but this may not always be possible.
